K.Flay is a genre-defying artist who has been constantly evolving for the past 20 years. Her 2004 debut mixtape gained lots of attention by parodying the simplistic and misogynistic lyrics present in mainstream hip-hop of the time. After a series of EPs and mixtapes, on which she collaborated with Liam Howlett (The Prodigy) and Danny Brown, she started releasing acclaimed full-length albums. “Life as a Dog” was featured on Billboard’s Top 200, which led to headlining tours across the United States and Europe, as well as opening for Dashboard Confessional or AWOLNATION. In 2016 she became the first artist to join Dan Reynolds’ (Imagine Dragons) new label Night Street, where she released a Nashville-recorded EP “Crush Me”. She was also nominated for 2 Grammys: Best Engineered Album (“Every Where Is Some Where”) and Best Rock Song (“Blood in the Cut”). The latter was also featured in the “XXX: Return of Xander Cage” movie, as well as Netflix’s TV series “Peaky Blinders” and “BoJack Horseman”. Her latest album “Inside Voices / Outside Voices” was released in 2022 and includes guest appearances from Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine) and Travis Barker (Blink182).
