We have to wait a bit longer for Basia Bulat’s concert in Warsaw. Together with the artist, we decided to move the concert at the BARdzodzo club to March 5, 2022. All tickets purchased so far remain valid on the new date. See you there!

Basia Bulat, the Canadian singer-songwriter with Polish roots, will play a show in Poland to promote her newest album, “Are You In Love?”. The artist will perform in March 2022 in Warsaw.

Basia Bulat, the daughter of Polish immigrants who was raised in Toronto, has released 5 studio albums so far; the next one, “Are You In Love?” was released on March 27. The album, which was mainly created in the Mojave desert, was produced by My Morning Jacket’s Jim James. Basia was inspired by singer-songwriters like Minnie Ripperton, Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton and Silvio Rodriguez – artists who knew (and know) how to imbue quiet songs with sensational force and boundless loving-kindness.

Over the course of five albums, she has brought together an intrinsic contemporary sound with a love of classic folk, country and R&B songwriting. Her first two albums, the folk-music-tinted Oh, My Darling (2007) and Heart of My Own (2010) were recorded in analogue with punk-rock producer Howard Bilerman; 2013’s Tall Tall Shadow, exploring friendship and grief, was made with Mark Lawson and Arcade Fire’s Tim Kingsbury; 2016’s Good Advice—a break-up album—and 2020’s Are You in Love? were produced in Kentucky and Joshua Tree (respectively) with My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James.
