Personal Trainer

Known for their totally unconventional ideas, the indie rock collective Personal Trainer will perform on November 15 at the BARdzo Bardzo club in Warsaw. The Amsterdam-based band is often described as a collective because its lineup is constantly changing. However, the central figure around whom everything revolves is frontman Willem Smit.

Initially, Personal Trainer was Smit’s solo project. He invited various musicians to perform together on stage. Now, Willem is the only permanent member of the band, while the rest of the lineup keeps changing. Members of Personal Trainer include artists from other great bands such as Pip Blom, Bull, Home Counties, The Klittens, Global Charming, Canshaker Pi, and Steve French.

In 2020, Personal Trainer performed at Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen. A year later, the band played an unforgettable concert at Paradiso Amsterdam, performing non-stop for 24 hours! Additionally, Personal Trainer has been seen at the biggest Dutch festivals, such as Down the Rabbit Hole, Best Kept Secret, and Into the Great Wide Open. In December 2023, it was announced that the band signed a contract with the iconic label Bella Union, signaling more upcoming releases and concerts.
