Eivør special guests Ásgeir, Elinborg

14. 10. 25Studio, Kraków

Eivør is one of the most unique artists on the Nordic music scene, drawing inspiration from the raw beauty of the Faroe Islands. Her work blends traditional folk music, electronics, and rock, while her distinctive, expressive voice evokes the ancient choral singing of her homeland. She has been honing her skills since an early age, playing in jazz and rock bands before studying classical singing in Reykjavík. On October 14th, at Kraków’s Klub Studio, the audience will have the chance to experience her unique style live.

Eivør’s music is deeply rooted in Faroese tradition, where folk music has survived centuries of foreign dominance. Her singing and compositions capture the spirit of communal singing and the rugged nature of the Faroe Islands, which is particularly evident in the tracks from her latest album, “ENN”. Recorded in the remote mountain village of Tjørnuvík, the album fuses classical elements, cinematic music, and intense electronics, with songs like “Gaia” and “Ein Klóta” exploring the relationship between humanity, nature, and the passage of time.

Eivør is not afraid to experiment and break boundaries—her vocal technique incorporates throat singing inspired by beatboxing and metal growling, which can be heard in *Upp Úr Øskuni*. Her compositions also bear influences from artists such as Radiohead and Sigur Rós, while her collaboration with Faroese poet Marjun Syderbø Kjelnæs adds depth and powerful messages to her lyrics.
